Cancer Cervical Hysterectomy
Cancer-cervical hysterectomy results are not guaranteed, in fact, there is a 15% rate of recurrence following surgery for a vaginal wart or cervical dysplasia.
Removal of the uterus can still result in a recurrence of dysplasia given it has traveled to the vaginal walls. This is after they have had multiple procedures, such as ECC, conizations, or LEEPs. Radical surgery is often performed on women whom have had recurrent severe dysplasia of the cervix.
