Cancer Cervical Staging
Cancer cervical staging will help determine if a LEEP procedure might be needed or if vaginal dysplasia is present.
Dysplasia of the cervix usually infects women between the ages of 18-25 years old. This is when women become, or are most sexually active. The more partners that one has, the higher the risk of HPV infection. There first pap after infection will usually be ASCUS, or mild dysplasia.
Cancer cervical staging will help determine if a LEEP procedure might be needed or if vaginal dysplasia is present.

Cancer Cervical Staging -
LEEP Procedure, Vaginal Dysplasia
There are phases to the development of abnormal cells of the cervix. The first stage is called ASCUS (atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance); the 2nd stage is mild dysplasia, then moderate, then severe dysplasia. Some never progress past ASCUS, due to natural immunity being achieved. Cancer cervical staging will help determine if a LEEP procedure might be needed or if vaginal dysplasia is present.
