Cervical Cancer Diagnosis
Cervical cancer diagnosis is not a singular Pap smear; it detects HPV generated changes leading to more intensive diagnostic procedures.
If the tumor cells have spread to regions outside thecervix, the following tests, exemining lymph nodes, pelvic area, bladder, and rectum, are used: cystoscopy, proctoscopy, computer tomography (CT scan), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), IVP, barium enema, chest X-ray.

Cervical Cancer Diagnosis -
Pap Smear, HPV
Routine screening can detect early-stage disease and precancerous condition. The process begins with a Pap test or Pap smear. If it suggests a problem, other tests are conducted: sceculoscopy, colposcopy, endocervical curettage, cone biopsy, dilation and curettage (D&C), and cervicography. Cervical cancer diagnosis is not a singular Pap smear; it detects HPV generated changes leading to more intensive diagnostic procedures.
