Std Cervical Cancer
Women who demonstate high risk behaviors for std, cervical cancer is a potential risk since HPV infection is contracted similarly leading to cone biopsy when abnormal vaginal discharge and other symptoms are present.
Women should try to reduce the chances of getting the disease: avoid sexual activity before 18 years, use condoms, and avoid sexually promiscuous partners. If there are warts on the partner’s genitals, the intercourse should be avoided, because of the possibility of HPV and other diseases. Condoms cannot be trusted, because they may not cover all the warts.

Two ways of avoiding HPV-related diseases are: infections and sexually transmitted diseases treatment and regular PAP smears taken to detect pre-cancerous condition and HPV. Both of these can stop the progression of the disease. A single PAP smear may not show any abnormal cells and additional tests may be required.
