Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is often performed after a pap smear discovers cervical dysplasia, vaginal wart or other disorders.
The abnormal cells are frozen with liquid nitrogen and the dead cells than are sloughed-off by the body. Most commonly this is used for removing genital, flat, or plantar warts and cervical dysplasia. This procedure is used to remove small areas of abnormal cells on the body.

Cryotherapy -
Pap Smear, Vaginal Wart
This procedure is performed right in the doctor’s office. When freezing warts the nitrogen is swabbed directly onto the warts, but when treating cervical dysplasia, a cryoprobe with the nitrogen running through it, is frozen and then held against the tip of the cervix. Cryotherapy is often performed after a pap smear discovers cervical dysplasia, vaginal wart or other disorders.
